WELCOME TO THE 2008 MICRO SEASON

For those born in 2004 or 2005 (4U)
For those born in 2002 or 2003 (6U)

With summer fast approaching, the FDSA would like to take this opportunity to welcome all micro-soccer players and parents to another great season filled with fun and excitement. The FDSA believes that a positive soccer season is one that leaves the children wanting to play again. To achieve this, our micro coaches receive age-specific training that teaches them how to best communicate the game of soccer to our children.

The season is set to begin with the teams taking the fields for their first event on Monday, June 2nd (4U) and Tuesday, June 3rd (6U). Games cancelled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled to Wednesday (4U) and Thursday (6U) of the same week.  The rain date time & location remain as originally scheduled.  If you would like to contribute in any way, please feel free to contact the FDSA office at 451-1342 or e-mail us at fdsa@nb.aibn.com as we are always looking for volunteers!

For coaches and volunteers, please note:

1. Orientation Session for all NEW FDSA Volunteers: Thursday, May 22nd from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Fredericton Inn.

2.  Micro-Specific Volunteer Meeting: Monday, May 26th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm at Fredericton Inn (team lists, equipment bags and uniforms will be available at this time).

3. Micro ON-FIELD Volunteer Practical Training Session: Saturday, May 31st from 10:00pm - 12:00pm at Fredericton High School (gym side). 

PIZZA HUT MICRO SKILLS AND DRILLS & PICTURE DAY

(Please note change in date - originally scheduled for June 7th)

Team Pictures and Skills & Drills for 4U and 6U will be held Saturday, June 21st (FHS) with a rain date of Sunday June 22nd (FHS). Once again, the FDSA Premiership players will be helping with this fun filled event.  Harvey Studios will be on site to take team and individual pictures of the children.

PARENTS VS PLAYERS NIGHT

During your last evening of scheduled play, there will be a Parents vs Players game.  This has always been thoroughly enjoyed so we recommend that parents start training!!!!

PIZZA HUT SEASON END JAMBOREE

The jamboree marks the end of the soccer season and allows for the distribution of team medals while giving the children and parents a chance to say good-bye. This year the jamboree will be held on Saturday, August 16th.  Rain delay date for 4U will be Monday, August 21st with 6U scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd.
